I was born and raised in Canada, before relocating to Washington State. As the youngest child of four, I often had more words left to say when everyone was done listening. So began my journey into writing. I’ve dipped into many creative writing forms; including short stories, poetry, and writing my first full length novel at the age of 15.

After taking a short break from writing while my children were young, I studied at Long Ridge Writer’s Group. I have spent the last several years honing my craft, reading, and writing with a vengeance. For me personally, I feel the ability to write a satisfying story comes from three things; a God given talent, a passion, and lots of hard work. I’m an avid member in the writing community on Twitter, encouraging my fellow writers with gifs, query and pitch contest critiques, and supporting their books. I am a member of my local chapter of Shut Up and Write and have a critique partner group who I meet with once a month.

I live in Bend, Oregon with my husband, three kids, an English Mastiff, and a rescue dog. I’ve been working in the health industry for the past 12 years and volunteer with youth. I’m a recovering cake decorator and am a huge Paul Rudd fan! When I’m not spending time with my husband and kids, hanging out with teens, or my dogs, you can find me in a coffee shop writing.
